What is visible, Plato tells us, is only a shadow or reflection of the truth.

 

Sofia Koukoulioti is a photographer and visual artist who lives in Greece. Her work is related with the modern environment which was the nature behind that city. She is searching what is behind that visible environment.

We have used to view and to think by decostruncting our thoughts, analyzing them. We have lived in a culture which was developed with a technological mania. But now we have begin to worry about the environmental changes. It seems that now more than before we start to think again nature and the mechanisms behind.

Sofia' s Koukoulioti work is a study about the environment both natural and domestic. Pieces of this work have been exhibited and published in Greece.

 

Sofia Koukoulioti has received an MSc in Interactive Multimedia from university of Westminster London and BA in photography from Audiovisua Department of Technological Institute of Athens.
